Surprisingly Simple CBD Milk Chocolate Truffles
This recipe for milk chocolate truffles is as easy to make as they are easy to eat. These truffles feature our full-spectrum CBD Milk Chocolate. We think you’ll agree, these truffles are so good, they’re good enough to gift! This is one of those rare recipes that is deceptively simple to make, it doesn’t even require a special candy thermometer.
Ingredients:
- 4 oz Bees Knees CBD Milk Chocolate, coarsely chopped
- 2-1/4 tbsp unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- A pinch of fine sea salt
- 1/8 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- Â Zest of 1 orange, finely chopped macadamia nuts, shredded coconut, or smoked sea salt toppings (optional)
Directions:
- Place the chocolate, butter, and sea salt in a bowl on top of a double boiler (or a simmering pot of water). Stir until the chocolate mixture is smooth and melted, then pour into a bowl. Refrigerate covered for at least 3 hours to harden.
- To form the truffles, bring the chocolate mixture up to room temperature for at least 15 minutes to soften.
- Spread the cocoa in a cake pan or pie pan. One of the optional toppings can be added in this step if desired.
- Scrape a melon baller or tiny scoop across the top of the chocolate mixture to form a slightly irregular round truffle about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the truffle in the pan of cocoa and shake the pan to roll the truffle in cocoa. Repeat this step until all of the truffles are shaped and coated.
- Store the truffles in the refrigerator in a covered container.
- To serve, bring the truffles up to room temperature for about 10 minutes to soften.
- Makes about 20 small truffles.
